What is a content marketing manager?

Definition: A content marketing manager is a professional who is responsible for developing and implementing a content marketing strategy for a business or organization.

Content marketing focuses on creating and distributing content in form of blog posts, social media posts, videos, emails, webinars, podcasts, infographics, and ebooks — to attract and retain a clearly defined audience and, ultimately, drive profitable customer action.

The content marketing manager is responsible for creating, curating, and distributing content that meets the needs and interests of the target audience and for tracking and analyzing the performance of the content to determine its effectiveness.

The content marketing manager works with other members of the marketing team (SEO specialists, designers, content writers, copywriters, and sometimes even developers) and also collaborates with other departments (product and sales teams) to ensure that the content aligns with the overall goals and strategy of the organization.
